(August 8/8) I started this page early in 2008, and invited people who care about human rights to make their interpretation of the Beijing 2008 logo. Thanks for all entries. Let's all try to improve the situation for our fellow human beings, in small and big ways, around the world.
Congratulations to Elin Kristiansen, whose entry "Hotel Beijing" (perhaps reflecting on both violence and our general laziness) ended up winning this small competition. She was awarded the prize, a book on moving optical illusions, in a small ceremony today - after the olympic opening ceremony.
We are on a long, slow, bumpy road away from genocide, wars, torture, oppression, racism, classism, bullying.
